The NHS England and NHS Improvement Volunteering Services Fund 2021 is now open for applications. Attached is more information about how to apply for funding (including a link to the online application form) plus a word version of the application form for planning purposes and obtaining necessary approvals.
Trusts can apply for financial support of up to £25,000 for volunteering activity in NHS trusts to support the restoration of volunteering and other services, staff recovery and to help to reduce care backlogs.
In order to ensure the funding reaches trusts as soon as possible, the deadline for applications is midday on Thursday 21 October 2021.
This programme seeks to provide support to trusts to increase volunteer numbers and maximise the impact of volunteers in reducing pressure on NHS services. All NHS trusts with existing volunteering services may apply, with the exception of ambulance trusts for whom a separate programme is being developed.
Please note that due to the restricted funding available, a competitive process will be applied to the selection of trusts and so it is vital you complete the online EOI form with as much detail as possible.
If you have any questions about this programme, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We are also holding two optional briefing sessions on Microsoft Teams to answer questions about the programme and the application process.
