NAVSM Membership Update 2024

29/11/2023
Written By: NAVSM

Our National Executive Committee (NEC) team at NAVSM are keen to share with you some of our plans for 2024.

During  COVID_19 many organisations were impacted by lock downs, inactivity and challenges outside of their control, at NAVSM we were no different. Our teams focus, was navigating through the pandemic within their own Trusts where maintaining voluntary services was the priority. Since then we have recognised a real change in the volunteer landscape and like everyone else have had to review and adapt to new ways of working. Our NEC team are all experienced in healthcare voluntary services. However, their NAVSM duties are carried out on a voluntary basis, meaning we rely on their goodwill and time commitment to support you, our members and deliver NAVSM services. Throughout 2023 we have been reviewing how we deliver our services and working on increasing our impact, to not only strengthen our offer to members but to introduce new ideas that enhance your membership and support your personal development.

The NAVSM NEC have committed funding to a new platform to manage its membership, we are now asking members to complete their registration to express an interest in joining NAVSM for 2024. We will be advising what is on offer over the coming months with a plan to fully launch our service in April 2024. If you would like to register your interest in joining us please follow this link and complete the process https://bttr.im/c7lm1

In addition to the development of this platform we also welcome new experienced members to our NEC team whose passion and drive will help bring a new energy  to NAVSM. We have listened to your feedback, and have recognised that our USP is our regional hub networks, these are thriving hubs that enable you to engage with other members and talk about agenda items relevant in your locality, because of this feedback we have re-structured our hub networks and have a clear focus on developing them to reach further across England and to as many healthcare providers as possible.

Most importantly, we want to provide you with the tools to focus on your personal development,  to help you be the best you can be. We aim to provide more learning opportunities, self-assessment and reflection methods and access to networking, information and advice more freely.

We are working behind the scenes on many updates and we look forward to sharing these with you in due course, but if you are interested in finding out more please register your interest on the link above.
